Highlights of our innings were the unusual Mackie 4th eleven first wicket partnership record involving 3 players - Peter Bradley, Michael Pahoff and Cliff Metcalf; and Cliff Metcalf's innings of 76, performed mostly with incredible back pain but partially relieved by a breathtaking massage by Peter Bourke.

Mackie was sent in on new mats and managed an entertaining opening stand of 83, before young Tim Dale was caught and bowled for a fine 60. New signing Michael Pahoff played the supporting role before being dismissed for 11.
Another new signing, Graeme Nelson, compiled an excellent 56 to steer the side to a respectable total of 185. St.Kilda City was 0/9 after facing 6 overs for 'the machine'.
